Frontier Fiber Optics Internet is Coming
The board members have met with Frontier Fiber Internet this morning expressing our concerns. We would like to update you on the ongoing work that has started in our community. Construction teams will be working in our community placing fiber-optic lines on poles or underground. This advanced technology will offer broadband internet services over a dedicated fiber line run directly to subscribing customer homes. Unlike previous installations in our community Frontier has stepped forward and are making sure all our concerns are addressed. Discussion with them about how they are going about ensuring that our other services i.e.: water, lights, cable & other fiber optics are not interrupted during the installation and we have be ensured they are committed to preventing these issues and addressing them if anything happens quickly. They are working with all of the other utility companies ensuring everything is cleared marked. If you have questions or concern you may contact them directly at:
Future Infrastructure, LLC, Phone: 281.431.3927 or Email: FTRQACCentral@ftr.com.
The question that comes to mind is why do we need another fiber optic company in our community? We have Optimum Cable and Tachus Fiber already. Simply put it is competition. Permission was given to Frontier just like Tachus from the city of Willis.
We hope that this installation does not cause outages and the installation goes smoothly. The board members we will be monitoring the installation.
